THE INFANCY OF BILLIOUS GNOOK, EPISODE IV: THE NOSTRILS OF THE WALL

Billious had concerned himself with the confines of his lace bonnet.  Mother had tied the lace bonnet too tightly following the Unsuccessful Breakfast, following The Powdering of the Bottom.  Billious was gasping and writhing to and fro with the chafing of the satin chin ribbon.  He was writhing to and fro when the Wall spoke his name,  when the furthermost Wall of his chambers spake unto him.  The Wall spake thus:

"See here, upon my wide face, rather near the parquet of the flooring - see my nostrils.  What you seek you shall find in my nostrils.  Come, Billious, and feel of them.  My nostrils are cool and smooth, they do not quiver.  Come and feel of my nostrils."

And so Billious ceased to concern himself with the chafing and swiftly climbed from his booster chair and placed his wet fingers into the dark nostrils of the wall.

And thus this matter of the nostrils is closed.  There are no further accounts.
